Canteen Information
The school canteen is run by a team of parent/grandparent volunteers. New volunteers are always welcome!
The canteen is open at recess and lunch on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, most weeks of the school year. It is usually closed in the first and last weeks of each term.
The canteen is open at recess selling healthy snacks and drinks and at lunch selling healthy snacks, drinks, and ice creams.
Warm food and freshly prepared sandwiches, wraps and rolls are available through a lunch order system.
Our aim is to make the canteen safe and accessible for all students so please advise us of any food allergies or contact us if you need ingredient information.
Working in the canteen is a rewarding way of getting to know the children and other parents of your child’s school. We are always looking for more volunteers for our canteen roster, so if you have a few hours on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday you would be made very welcome. Please contact the school office.
TopHow to Order
To order lunch, just fill out a paper lunch bag with the student’s name, class, and lunch and/ or drink order. Place the money inside the bag, fold it up and deliver it to the canteen by 9:30am. Any change will be stuck to the front of the lunch bag. Lunch is returned to the classroom in lunch crates at lunch time for distribution to the children.
Drinks are held at the canteen - please ask your child to take their lunch order bag to the canteen to receive their drink.
If you want to pay for all of your children together, please include the money in the youngest child's bag and mark clearly on this bag the other children you are paying for and their classes. To make it very clear for the volunteers, indicate on every child's order in which bag the money can be found. We know this sounds time consuming, but we do not always know which children have siblings at school and this has been an area that has caused confusion for volunteers.
